We wanted to follow up with you all with a quick update about journey gym's visit to the global QVC Headquarters at the end of last month as we garnered a commitment to our initial appearance on their sales TV platform.
Kim Lyons and the journey gym team went to West Chester, Pennsylvania and met both with our brokers and two of the head buyers at QVC and they loved the journey gym and the offer that we are ready to take to their viewers and gave us the thumbs up.
So, as it stands we are likely looking to garner a segment between Aug. 15th and Sep. 15th, 2012. We are working with QVC to provide an exclusive and highly valuable version of the journey gym system that will include the journey gym universal gym product, additional journey gym exercise DVDs and our journey gym Nutrition Guide. It'll be an insane amount of product and value for the great discount that QVC will offer it for.
We'll look for all of you to be there to support. We'll let you know the exact date of the appearance as draws near. QVC is amazing and we are enthused to be working with them to help get the world fit.
The original universal gym was invented by Harold Zinkin as he started his company, actually called Universal Gym Equipment, in 1957 and was available in mass production in 1963. Harold was a body builder and held the title of "Mr California" in 1941 and was the runner-up for "Mr America" in 1945. He wanted to open up the sport to more of the novice market and knew that free weights had alot of limitation associated with them including injury, cost, time between exercises, etc.
