60 Minutes Of Exercise A Week Can Change Everything
When you think you can't find time to exercise, you are right, you can't find time. You can only make time. We all generally deal with the same issues when it comes to getting in workouts and exercise. We simply can't find the time and most days, if not every day, we let the day move forward without finding the time for us and our health maintenance.
The solution is simple though...we have to make time for exercise. Behavioralists, personal trainers and life coaches all agree. Unless you make the time it won't become a priority and it won't become a habit. Studies vary between 21 days and 35 days to build and set a habit. In either instance though this is simply 3 to 5 weeks of time for creating something that will be one of the most positive changes in your life ever.
You may think that 5 weeks is a lifetime of workouts. Well, it may seem like that if you begin by working out like you did in high school for 90 minutes per day. However, for most of us to get into better shape, to build metabolism, to lose weight and to gain energy we only need to start with 15 minutes of exercise a day.
See, as you age most people are simply looking for a way to feel better and have energy, we are not looking for the bikini body of yesteryear. Though that is the goal for some, most are just trying to go from nothing to something meaniful. 15 minutes a day, four times a week will show you meaningful results. This equal 60 minutes a week, which is just 4 to 4.5 hours a month.
The human body is amazing at adapting and utilizing whatever positive changes we make to improve our health. In turn, as you start at 15 minutes a day for four days a week your metabolic rate will increase, you will begin to increase your muscle mass and your body will start to return to the engine it once was. With time you are likely to increase the amount of time you exercise per week and to incorporate other positive changes like better sleeping and better eating habits.
It all starts with that first step. Whether that step be up on a journey gym or via some other path, simply begin that journey today.
